Students from Saint Paul’s Catholic High School in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester have been taking part in a series of digital sessions on the topic of Acts of Kindness hosted by the Forum Library.
There were three sessions which covered:
Book Creator where the students took photos representing their story on Acts of Kindness. They then inserted the pictures in the Book Creator comic strip page adding text, emoji’s, colour themes, etc. to enhance the concept.
Green Screen where the students took photos using green screen and embed their knowledge from the first session creating another comic book, but this time using advanced green screen images and placing their stories in fascinating places like Hogwarts, etc.
Stop Motion where the students will make mini movies on the topic of Acts of Kindness using Lego.
Mrs Irena Savova from Saint Paul’s said: “We arranged for a series of three digital sessions on the topic of Acts of Kindness to take place at the Forum library. The sessions were completely free of charge and we could use the library facilities. The students really enjoyed the sessions and there were many creative ideas.”
Mr Alex Hren, Head Teacher at Saint Paul’s, said: “We are very grateful to The Forum for this opportunity. The students found the sessions extremely inspiring and enjoyable and have produced some amazing work.”
