Staff were delighted to treat pupils to a Pizza lunch as a reward for all the hard work and effort they had put in during the Spring term.
The lunch, a much deserved ‘thank you’ from the school, was for invited Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils as a thank you for their impeccable performance, behavior and support so far this academic year.
The pupils were selected based on them always looking smart with correct uniform and always being equipped and ready to learn. Those pupils who had received a Head Teacher’s Fantastic Friday Pupil of the Week Award and those pupils who had received a Progress Leader Award for progress, achievement, extra-curricular or going above and beyond were invited to attend. Members of staff also joined in the celebration including the Progress Leaders for those year groups (Diane Keary, Darren Mawn and Stella McGovern).
Ms Diane Keary, Progress Leader Year 7, said: “We wanted to celebrate the hard work and outstanding efforts of the pupils. They have been so enthusiastic, dedicated and helpful; they are a great credit to Saint Paul’s.”
“The pizza lunch was a fantastic way to recognize the great things which our pupils do,” commented Mrs Fiona Minshall, Head Teacher at Saint Paul’s. “We believe that rewards such as this, not only celebrate the pupils’ successes, but also inspires and motivate them to achieve their very best and become confident and thoughtful members of the community.”
