Staff were delighted to treat pupils to a day focused on tennis as a reward for their effort and 100% correct kit throughout their first year at the school.
The girls from Year 7 were given the unique opportunity of attending a tennis workshop at The Northern Lawn Tennis Club, before watching the Aegon International Tournament.
Ms Laura Wild, Head of PE, said: “We wanted to celebrate the hard work and outstanding efforts of the pupils. They have been so enthusiastic and dedicated to their PE lessons; they are a great credit to Saint Paul’s. The tennis day gave them a fantastic opportunity to try a new sport and refine their tennis skills and then soak up the atmosphere of a premier tennis championship.”
“The tennis day was a fantastic way to recognise the great enthusiasm that our pupils have shown towards Physical Education,” commented Mrs Fiona Minshall, Head Teacher at Saint Paul’s. “We believe that rewards such as this, not only celebrate the pupils’ successes, but also inspires and motivates them to achieve their very best and become confident, skillful and dedicated players.”
