Saint Paul’s Launch ‘High Flyers’ Programme: < < BACK

We're delighted to announce the launch of our new ‘High Flyers’ programme which has been designed to make certain that all the pupils reach their full potential.

The purpose of the programme is to ensure all pupils are suitably challenged and have the opportunity to realise their full potential in a supportive and caring environment. The programme is designed to ensure that the most able learners are given the encouragement and assistance they need to achieve success.

The aims of the programme are to:

  • Raise the achievement of the more able pupils, particularly those who are capable of achieving A*/A grades who are currently working below this
  • Raise aspirations of the pupils
  • Improve confidence and life skills by offering pupils extra support and a range of enrichment activities

Mrs Claire Hunt, Assistant Headteacher, said: “Saint Paul’s is committed to providing an inclusive and challenging environment that stimulates the development of all our pupils. We want to ensure that high achievers are being stretched in all lessons and that any underachievement is being tackled; foster a spirit of high ambition and self-expectation; celebrate the success of high achieving pupils and to recognise excellent achievement in all school activities and create partnerships so that high achieving pupils have access to quality enrichment activities.”

“The High Flyers programme will recognise and reward academic achievement and provide our top performing students with tailored events and activities” explained Head Teacher, Mrs Fiona Minshall. “At Saint Paul’s, we are keen that our high achievers realise their full potential and the launch of this programme signals our commitment to this.”
