Saint Paul’s became a very eerie place to be with all manner of scary beasties when the school held its annual Spooky Disco!
There were some very eerie goings on when staff and pupils dressed up and took part in a Spooky Disco at the school. The event was a great success with all those involved having a fantastic time.
Year 7 and 8 pupils were invited to the disco and the Year 11 prefects helped with the event. The children dressed in a variety of spooky costumes; the outfits were amazing and even scared the grown-ups!
“The disco, which was designed to encourage team building and pupil bonding, was a fantastic event and was excellent for building up positive relationships with staff and pupils,” explained Mrs Diane Keary, Head of Year 7 at Saint Paul’s. “We were all able to come together to celebrate our first half term and the smooth transition of pupils from primary school into Year 7.”
Ms Keary added: “Both pupils and staff made a superb effort and the costumes were brilliant. The disco gave pupils in key stage 3 the opportunity to come together and get to know each other whilst having a good time. There was a fantastic turnout and it was a night to remember!”
Mrs Fiona Minshall, Head Teacher at Saint Paul’s, said: “A variety of spooky characters turned out in force for our school disco! The evening was a great success; it was enjoyed by both pupils and staff alike and was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to have fun at the end of the first half term. The event consolidated the work that we do to ensure that the transition to secondary school is an enjoyable and positive experience.”
