The subjects taught in Design and Technology at Saint Paul’s include:
• Electronic Products
• Food Technology
• Resistant Materials
Key Stage 3
All pupils at KS3 receive two lessons of Design and Technology per week, each lesson being one hour in duration in year 7 and one hour per week in year 8&9.
Pupils are taught in subject specific modules and rotate in a carousel arrangement throughout the year. This allows pupils the opportunities to experience a range of Technology disciplines with subject specialists.
The Faculty follows the aims and content methodology of the National Curriculum. The staff works closely together providing regular feed back on pupils’ progress and attainment.
Pupils throughout Years 7, 8 and 9 study all areas of Technology with the recorded level at the end of Key Stage drawing upon all areas of the Design and Technology Curriculum.
Key Stage 4
As part of the School's options structure the followingsubjects are offered:
