The Saint Paul’s Parent, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) was set up to encourage closer links between home and school. The PTFAs is well known for its fundraising work, but it also has a useful social function too. Fundraising events focused on improving the environment for our children provide an opportunity for parents, staff and pupils to get together and enjoy spending time together in an informal and relaxed way.
Over the years the PTFA have raised many thousands of pounds, which have been spent on improving equipment and facilities in the school.
You can decide how much or how little you want to get involved: maybe you can bake a cake, sell some raffle tickets or help plan the Christmas Fayre; it is up to you. We hope you will come along and enjoy some events and the PTFA will make yours and your children's time at Saint Paul’s that little bit more fun.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to come along to the meetings (which are held several times a year) and offer their very appreciated support to our fundraising efforts. So don’t be shy – please come along, especially if you have not been before.
One of our members said: “I thought that joining the PTFA would be a daunting prospect but everyone was very friendly and inclusive. Joining the PTFA gave me a great insight into the school, how it is run and the amazing things achieved as a result of the money raised by PTFA events.”
Another comments: “What a great bunch of people I have met over the years on the committee, I have had so much fun. Being involved in organising so many varied events which in turn has raised money to enhance both the childrens’ education and the facilities that they have has been so enjoyable.”
The PTFA is a fantastic way for parents/carers/friends to get more involved in our thriving school community.
