Pupil Premium - Funding & Impact
Pupil premium funding was introduced to narrow the gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers. The Government believes that Pupil Premium is the most effective way of ensuring that funding reached the pupils who need it most. Pupil premium funding is received for:
• Children who have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any point in the last 6 years.
• Children who have been looked after for 1 day or more.
• Children who are adopted.
• Children who leave care under a Special Guardianship Order or a Residence Order.
• Service children.
