The Art Department prides itself on providing our students with a wide range of opportunities in a highly creative environment.
Skill development, creative thinking and independent learning are integral to our Art classes and pupils explore their artwork and ideas using a wide range of media, processes and methods.
Pupils build their technique and skill base through media experimentation and problem solving. While traditional skills and life drawing are taught, the emphasis is firmly on the individual and fostering artistic and experimental growth. Pupils are encouraged to find their own voice in an atmosphere of excellence and high expectations.
Our Year 9 pupils have produced some outstanding artwork as part of their African Batik Masks project.
