Saint Paul’s serves the local community by working in partnership to provide an education of the highest quality; we celebrate diversity and are committed to the principles of inclusion and equal opportunities. We pride ourselves on our broad, balanced and creative curriculum, which inspires and challenges children of all abilities.

We look forward to building on the good practice taking place around school with reading. Studies show that reading for pleasure makes a big difference to a young person’s educational performance and is an essential part of physical and mental well-being. All Key Stage 3 students are now taking part in the Accelerated Reader Programme, and we are excited to be working with Portico Library where all of our students will have the opportunity to participate in their creative writing competitions.

Getting the basics right is a key part of the formula for success. I believe that there is a clear correlation between attendance, punctuality to school in the morning and attainment. We encourage all parents and carers to ensure that their child is at school every day and on time. This makes a real difference. Ensuring students are dressed in the correct uniform is also important in ensuring the high standards and expectations we have here at Saint Paul’s Catholic High School.

I am delighted to be working together with you to help your children reach their full potential, spiritually, academically, and socially. Working together in partnership with our parishes and communities, we nurture our life-affirming core values, encouraging each student’s spiritual and academic development. Our professional, experienced staff (teaching and non-teaching) aim for excellence in everything they do and strive to ensure all children reach their full potential both academically and socially.

This prospectus is intended to give you some background information about the school, its organisation and our curriculum. If you have not yet had the opportunity to visit Saint Paul’s, we hope that you accept our invitation.
