The New Horizons Work Experience and Skills Week proved to be an enriching and transformative experience for all involved. Designed to equip students with essential life and employment skills, the week focused on preparing them for real-world challenges and opportunities.

Throughout the programme, students engaged in a variety of activities aimed at building confidence and independence. They learned how to navigate the world of work—from understanding workplace expectations to mastering the logistics of commuting to and from employment. In addition, practical life skills such as shopping, cooking, and budgeting were woven into the experience, helping students develop the tools they need to support themselves in the future.

The initiative was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from both students and staff. Many praised the hands-on approach and the valuable insights gained throughout the week.

It was not only a success in terms of skill-building but also in fostering a sense of empowerment and readiness for life beyond the classroom.
