Ethos & Values
Spiritual development is at the core of all we do at Saint Paul’s. We aim to teach and foster the Gospel values of love of God and our neighbour, through our Curriculum and our Chaplaincy events.
The school has excellent support from the Clergy in the local area and continues to develop close links with our parishes. Pupils are encouraged to participate fully in Parish activities.
Saint Paul’s Mission Statement
“Founded on the love of Christ, and recognising the inestimable worth of each individual, Saint Paul’s exists to foster, with care and compassion, personal, spiritual and academic growth, extending into the community and beyond.”
Wythenshawe Catholic Academy Trust Mission Statement
“United in faith, we are the Wythenshawe Catholic Academy Trust. Welcome together as a Catholic family to enlighten minds, to enrich souls, to become the best people that God wants us to be; through our work, service, prayer and fun. Journey together with Jesus Christ, we learn to love and love to learn.”

Our Values in Action
As a school, we have chosen 5 of the foundational values from Jesus’ teachings in the gospels which we think should form the core of who we are and how we act as a member of this school community.
Values are more than just words and a logo. We aim to put love into action in practical ways. Year 7 have explored some concrete ways we can live this out:
Love
Love is the central value which flows into and inspires the other four. The words of our Patron, Saint Paul, in his letter to the Corinthians, sets out a framework of how to (and how not to) treat each other.
Compassion
Care for others. Think about the sick. Are good neighbours. Are merciful. Put others first. Don’t pity people. Are sympathetic. Live humility. Keep the weak safe and secure
Stewardship
Co-operate, Act more ethically, Work as a team, Have a good vision, Have a joint strategy, Value good education, Love those we hate, Take responsibility, Love the planet, Care for our common home, “Stewardship is heart work”
Respect
Appreciate each other, Recognise dignity, Honour people, Have and give self-esteem, Love dignity, Give accountability, Cherish and nourish, Glorify and worship, Honour your Father and Mother
Service
Offer kindness, Serve others, Support Charity, Inspire, Love, Justice, Help, So our duty, Offer rescue, Understand, Comfort people
