Jubilee Icon of the Visitation

At Saint Paul’s, together with the whole Church, we journey as Pilgrims of Hope during this Jubilee Year – a sacred time of reflection, renewal, and opening the doors of our hearts to God’s grace.

On Wednesday 22nd October, we welcomed the Jubilee Icon of the Visitation, symbolically opening our own Holy Door—a powerful tradition in Jubilee years that marks a passage to deeper faith and grace. We received the icon from St John Fisher and Thomas More Primary School and their inspiring Mini Vinnies, who prepared a beautiful Celebration of the Word for us.

In preparation for the visit of the Icon Year 7 gathered in the chapel during the month of October to pray the Rosary for peace in the world, joining their voices in hope and unity.

Each year group participated in their own Celebration of the Word, welcoming the icon on its pilgrimage to our community.

Faith Leaders led their own Celebration of the Word in front of the icon, creating a sacred space for reflection.

Our chapel door opened for all to visit, pray, and light a candle.

Each door  represents the door of our heart—a door we are called to keep open to others.

We are Pilgrims of Hope Opening the Doors of Our Hearts.
