This year’s Sports Day was a resounding success, showcasing not only athletic talent but also the spirit of inclusivity and teamwork that defines our school community. With a wide range of events on offer, every student had the opportunity to participate, challenge themselves, and enjoy the day.

The programme featured a variety of track and field events, including sprints (50m and 100m), jumps (long jump, triple jump, and high jump), and throws (discus, javelin, and shot put). Whether students were seasoned athletes or trying something new, there was something for everyone.

Mr. Mawn praised the event, saying:
“The school Sports Day was a great success. There was a variety of field and track events for students to choose to enter. The atmosphere was friendly yet competitive.
The students showed a great deal of enthusiasm and we saw some outstanding individual performances. Well done to all those involved.”

A special mention goes to the Year 9 and 10 Sports Leaders, who played a vital role in the smooth running of the day. Their responsibilities ranged from offering technical advice to younger pupils, to timekeeping, measuring, and even managing the event data. Their leadership and organisational skills were on full display and greatly appreciated.

The day concluded on a high note, with the entire school gathering to watch the final sprint and relay events featuring our most elite athletes.
Sports Day was not just about competition—it was a celebration of effort, encouragement, and school spirit.
Sports day reward assemblies have taken place this year where students have received badges to recognise their individual achievements as well as gift vouchers. Trophies were issued to the most competitive form in each year group and year 7 turned out to be the most successful year group on the day! Congratulations to everyone who took part and helped make the day unforgettable.
