We are extremely proud of Kian and Maciej in Year 7 who have had their creative writing selected to be included in a Young Writers’ Anthology and have been awarded a certificate of merit for their achievement.
Last term, while we were studying A Monster Calls, students in New Horizons had the opportunity to enter a creative writing competition from the Young Writers group. The stories had to include a ‘Crazy Creature’ and students invented their own haunting characters inspired by the monster in A Monster Calls.
Two of our students, Maciej and Kian, have been chosen to have their stories published in an anthology. Maciej’s story is called The Corruption of Nature and Kian’s is called The Boy in the Woods. We are so proud of them both and they are so excited to be published authors!
