Don’t Walk Past

Staff at Saint Paul’s organised for all their left-over lost property to be donated to a local homeless charity, Don’t Walk Past. Staff washed spare hoodies, jackets, rucksacks, hats, gloves and scarfs and delivered these to the charity in Manchester..

The charity told us that every single item went, and the homeless people and the charity were very grateful and wanted to say a huge thank you to Saint Paul’s and that it means a lot!

“I think if you can be anything in this world just be kind,” said Miss Copeland who organised the charity donation.

The school received the following letter of thanks:

Hello everyone at St Paul’s Catholic High School.

Thank you for your donation of clothes and rucksacks that Miss Copeland kindly organised for our charity Don’t Walk Past. We took these supplies out last Wednesday night and everything was given out, and gratefully received.

Our charity is run and staffed solely by volunteers, and we rely on donations of food, clothes, sleeping bags and anything that might help rough sleepers in Manchester and Salford. We have teams that drive around the city centre each weekday night giving out hot food, clothes, hot drinks, sleeping bags and provisions for Manchester’s homeless.

We really appreciate your kind donations, helping us to support people that have fallen on hard times.

Thank you
Will Seddon
