This week is Environmental Science Week for Year 7. The objective of the week is for Year 7 study the causes and impact of pollution on nature.
The unit of work is interleaved with revision of the Matter, Organisms, Energy and Ecosystems topics, lots of practical work and explores the role of Environmental Scientists working in the field and the laboratory.
The Year 7 environmental scientists are working hard to find out what is causing fish to die in a local lake by investigating causes of acid rain, the pH of different soils and the harm that fertilisers can do to all life in ponds and lakes.
