Faith in Action

SVP Group

The purpose of our SVP Group is to draw together our community of Saint Paul’s students to make a difference.

Our Youth SVP group has worked hard through multiple charity accomplishments to better the community they live in. The events reflect the giving nature of our students who are always willing to support charity efforts.

Based on the teachings from St Paul’s second letter to Timothy (2 Timothy 4:7) where he says, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”, we at St Paul’s understand the true value of having ‘fought the good fight’. In the Wythenshawe community alone, there 1,323 children being fed through the help of the Wythenshawe Foodbank (Trussell Trust), and as pillars of the community we recognise the need to support those in our community that are helping those who need it most. We believe the fight against poverty is a battle that all Catholics have a duty to participate in, and through our work we know that families in our school community, but also our local community; have a life line that they can rely on in times of need.

Year 11 John 10:10 Group

Our John 10:10 student group is inspired by the words of Jesus: “I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” Guided by this verse, student leaders in the group work together to create opportunities that bring life, joy, and hope to our school community and beyond.

Through service activities, fundraising initiatives, and creative projects, the group aims to support those in need while encouraging all students to live out their faith in practical and meaningful ways. By leading with compassion and purpose, the John 10:10 group helps our school community grow in generosity, unity, and spirit.

Year 7 Faith Leaders: Leading by Example

The Year 7 Faith – By supporting liturgies and organizing faith-filled initiatives, these young leaders are planning to help build a strong, Christ-centred community.

Charity Work

At Saint Paul’s, we actively encourage our pupils to consider others in need and to help them through the giving of both their time and effort.

The organising of fundraising events is therefore a key part of the school’s ethos.

Our charity fund raising includes support for the following charities:

  • Cafod
  • Macmillan
  • Caritas
  • Cornerstone Centre
  • Teenage Cancer Trust
  • Wythenshawe Food Bank
  • Poppy Appeal
  • Cancer Research
