The New Horizons group in Year 7 enjoyed six sessions of Forest School at St Anthony’s. There were many different activities and areas such as the bird watching, hut building area, swings and the chill out tent.

The students loved being outdoors, playing in the mud and collecting bugs. They enjoyed learning how to build a shelter and make a fire.

The students said their favourite parts of Forest School were getting to know each other better and working together; building fires and learning about fire safety; toasting marshmallows and cooking bacon sandwiches on the fire; and making a game using a rope and tree where they built a pulley and worked together to lift people up.

Thank you St Anthony’s for an amazing experience!!
