Two Year 9 students (Emma and Isaac) were nominated to co-produce part of a documentary film finding out more about the different professionals who work at Manchester Airport.

Working with the production company and their film crew, our students were able to interview an apprentice with the Airport’s Fire Service and see what their job entailed.
The questions they had originated and asked gave them a great insight into the service, and will form the basis of careers films which will be shown in schools across the country.

Mr Dan Lynch, from Saint Paul’s, accompanied the students on the trip, commented: “The students, Emma and Isaac, were an absolute credit to the school, and attracted lots of praise from everyone involved: the Airport Fire Service, the production company, the Airport liaison and the director & camera person.

Both students enjoyed the experience, especially getting to shoot water from the fire hose!”
