We were thrilled to welcome back former student Ryan Nyambe, who has built a successful career as a professional footballer. Nyambe has played for Blackburn Rovers, Wigan Athletic, and Derby County, achieving promotions to the Championship with Blackburn in 2018 and Derby in 2024. He also represents Namibia on the international stage.
During his visit, Nyambe generously shared his time and experiences with our students, discussing the life of a professional athlete and raising their aspirations. Selected Year 7 to 10 students, along with Year 10 Health and Fitness students, had the unique opportunity to listen to Nyambe’s journey and ask questions about his career.
The event aimed to inspire students interested in pursuing careers in sport, providing them with valuable insights and motivation from an ex-student who has achieved remarkable success. Nyambe’s visit offered a glimpse into the world of professional athletics, encouraging students to develop their sporting aspirations and consider potential careers within the sports industry.
