Students at Saint Paul’s recently gained a valuable insight into their upcoming GCSE experience as the school organised a full series of mock examinations.

All Year 11 students took part in the internal exams which not only provided excellent preparation for the summer GCSEs but also offered important information for staff and students. The results help identify current levels of performance, highlight areas of strength and pinpoint aspects that may need further development to ensure every student can reach their full potential.
Mr Lynch, Exams and Data Officer, explained: “The students collected their results in a sealed envelope, just as they will receive them in August. It was an exciting day for them. They are now completing follow‑up work to identify their strengths and the areas they need to focus on in preparation for the summer exams.”

Assistant Exams Officer, Mr Noone, praised the maturity shown by the year group during the exam period: “The students were exemplary throughout the formal examination weeks. We encouraged them to approach their mock exams with the same determination they will need for their final GCSEs. This mindset has been incredibly beneficial in helping them achieve their best and gain the most from the experience.”
Year 11 Progress Leader, Mr Wilson, emphasised the importance of providing realistic examination practice: “These exams were designed to give our students the most authentic experience possible of their GCSEs. We are committed to improving our students’ life chances, and we believe that strong qualifications can open the door to many future opportunities.”
