A group of Year 11 students were invited to a special study skills workshop in conjunction with the award-winning Elevate Education in a bid to boost their independent study and revision skills and encourage them to maximise their potential on their GCSE courses.
The Study workshop aimed to provide the students with cross-curricular skills to assist their learning in all subjects, both in school and at home.
The workshop was delivered by an experienced professional from Elevate with school staff in attendance to support. The most recent session provided guidance to the Year 11 students on: highest value exam preparation tasks; fixing mistakes to ensure constant improvement; time allocation during exam preparation and techniques for managing stress & time pressure in exams.
The sessions were part of the Year 11 preparations for their upcoming mock exams.
