A huge congratulations to our exceptional Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9 girls’ football teams, who have been crowned Manchester Cup champions – securing an incredible triple victory for Saint Paul’s.
Our Year 7 team delivered a truly outstanding performance in their final against St Matthew’s, earning a commanding 4–0 win. Mayla was in superb form, scoring a brilliant hat-trick, while Serena added a fantastic fourth goal to cap off a confident and composed team performance.

The success continued with our Year 9 team, who impressed in their final against Chorlton High with a well-earned 2–0 victory. Goals from Cienna and Elise secured the win, following a determined performance built on discipline, teamwork and resilience.

Adding to the celebrations, our Year 8 team were crowned Manchester Champions after an excellent 3–0 triumph over Wright Robinson College. Mayla opened the scoring, while Cienna delivered an outstanding individual performance with two goals and an assist, showcasing both skill and teamwork at the highest level.

Year 10 also reached the final, demonstrating their quality and determination throughout the competition. Despite taking the lead and holding it for much of the game, they were narrowly defeated 3–1 by Wright Robinson College in the closing stages. Their effort and commitment remain a huge credit to the team.

We are incredibly proud of all our players for their dedication, teamwork and commitment throughout the season. Each team has represented Saint Paul’s with pride, determination and excellence.
