We are delighted to welcome Mr Fitton to our school community as our new School Chaplain.
Mr Fitton is a committed member of the parish of St Peter’s Hazel Grove and brings with him experience of being both a high school and sixth form chaplain. He was a member of a prayer group in Sacred Heart, Baguley, for a number of years and when he saw our vacant chaplaincy post he felt called to apply and see if there was a way to serve the church again in Wythenshawe.
In his role, Mr Fitton looks forward to offering spiritual and emotional support to students, staff and families. He is committed to fostering hope, guidance and resilience throughout our school, helping everyone feel supported and uplifted.
Mr Fitton has already begun working closely with our John 10:10 student group, which is inspired by the words of Jesus: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Guided by this verse, the student leaders work together to create opportunities that bring life, joy and hope to our school community and beyond.
We are excited for all that Mr Fitton will bring to our school and look forward to the positive impact he will make. Let’s keep him in our prayers.
