Saint Paul’s Catholic High School recently hosted its annual Year 6 Transition Day, offering a warm welcome to the students who will be joining us in September 2025. The event was designed to help ease the transition from primary to secondary school by giving students a chance to meet their future classmates, get to know staff, and experience a day in the life at Saint Paul’s.

Throughout the day, students took part in a variety of engaging activities while working within their new form groups. This not only allowed them to build early friendships with peers from other schools but also helped them become familiar with the routines and expectations of secondary school life. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and curiosity as students explored their new environment and began to feel part of the Saint Paul’s community.

In preparation for the Transition Day, parents and carers were invited to attend an information evening the day before. During this session, they heard from the Head Teacher and had the opportunity to meet their child’s future form tutor. This provided a valuable chance to ask questions, learn more about the school’s ethos, and feel reassured about the journey ahead.

The Transition Day was a great success, laying the foundation for a confident and positive start in September.
