Year 8 Students Attend Mini DASH at Catholic High School Chester

Eight of our Year 8 students took part in the Mini DASH event hosted at the Catholic High School Chester. The day brought together young people from across schools in the Diocese, offering them the opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, and grow as future leaders within their school communities.

The focus of the day was on Catholic Social Teaching and what it means to be a leader rooted in faith. Students reflected on the qualities of a good Catholic leader, thinking carefully about how they can live out Gospel values in their everyday actions and inspire others to do the same.

During the event, the students had the chance to put their own reflective questions to Mr Whiteside, Headteacher. He spoke about his vision for the school, the challenges and responsibilities of leadership, and how faith plays a central role in guiding his decisions.

Students were also thrilled to see the Jubilee Icon of The Visitation, blessed by Bishop Mark, that is being welcomed in schools around the Diocese.

Our students returned inspired by the experience and eager to take on leadership roles in school. The day was a valuable reminder that leadership is not just about responsibility, but also about service, compassion, and working together to make a difference.
