Year 8 hosted the first ever Saint Paul’s Enterprise Fair. Each form was set the task of organising two stalls to plan and resource with the aim of raising as much money as possible for charity. The Progress Tutors ran planning sessions with their forms which involved brainstorming, budgeting and establishing rotas to ensure the stalls were set up and manned effectively.
Taking part in an enterprise project allows students to learn the skills of responsibility, confidence, entrepreneurialism and teamwork. It allowed students to work together as a form group and build peer relationships.
The stalls were set up in the Sports Hall and Year 7 and 8 spent the afternoon visiting the different activities and games. The stalls included penalty shoot outs, cake sales, lucky dips, throw the sponge at the teacher, guess the name of the toy, take a selfie and popcorn making.

Students loved the variety of options available and engaged really well. Running the stalls involved students managing money and also providing excellent customer service.
Mrs Chisnall Progress Leader Year 8 said “I am so proud of how the Year 8s managed the event and the effort that so many of them showed in planning and delivering their stalls. The feedback from staff and students has been brilliant and we look forward to next year!”

Overall the fair raised £460 for charity and students will be given the opportunity to vote for which charity they want the money to go to.
