Pupils enjoyed a visit to Manchester United Football Club as part of the Rise programme which aims to engage & empower individuals & innovation and support young people to make positive choices.
Ms Cunliffe, who organised the trip, said: “The trip was a fantastic opportunity for our students. they were extremely excited and appreciative. The students are currently undertaking the Rise programme and were invited to Manchester United, who are leading the programme, for a day to work on their project but also had a tour of the Manchester United ground. If the students get to the final of the programme and win they have the opportunity to have all their university fees, courses etc paid for in the future, as well as 3 weeks in South Africa!”
The Rise programme creates lifelong opportunities that positively impact young people from the local community.
